Springtime in Nashville

We spent a long weekend visiting Steve's parents in Nashville.  After the spring we've had up north, it was just the break we needed.  Two of the days topped out over 80 degrees!  The greenery and flowers gave me hope of what's to come in Minnesota.

There's something about Nashville scenery that is so calming and serene.  You feel like you're in a movie...

Cherry blossoms in Phil & Linda's back yard...

We stopped by the Dave Ramsey headquarters ...
Did some line dancing at the Wild Horses Saloon...
Saw the original Grand Ole Opery...
Dinner at Sopapilla's - a new mexican restaurant in Franklin...
Toured the Jack Daniels distillery... we weren't allowed to take pictures inside the buildings, but here's a glimpse of the grounds...
Natural stream used to distill the whiskey...
Barrel house where some of the whiskey is aged...
After the tour they gave us some amazing lemonade... seriously, it's a dry county so no samples allowed!
Our weekend also entailed a few walks & bike rides, Franklin antique shops, Arlington Vineyards and Leiper's Fork village.  I can't wait until our next visit!
