Baptism

Several months ago Steve planned to get baptized at our church's outdoor service.  It all came about when we wanted to become official members of our church.  I was baptized when I was in 6th grade, but Steve hadn't been and it was one of the requirements for membership.  So he signed up for June 27th... little did we know that it would become the day before we move!

My family came over in the afternoon to help us pack up the truck, then we all drove over to Northwestern College for the service.  Afterward my mom made us the most amazing meal to celebrate Steve for both the baptism and his birthday which was June 23rd.  We had pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, cabbage salad, watermelon, lemonade and for dessert a raspberry cream torte from Cafe Latte!  It was delicious!
Steve shared a few words how Luke 9:26 has been meaningful to him.
"If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory..."
